Oklahoma State Leads Entering Final Day Of Big 12 Men’s Golf Championship presented by Allstate

Oklahoma State expanded its overnight lead and holds a nine-stroke advantage entering the final day of the Big 12 Men’s Golf Championship presented by Allstate. The Pokes’ Preston Stout, who won Conference individual titles in each of the last two seasons, leads all individuals by two strokes at Prairie Dunes Country Club.

The Cowboys, looking to extend their Big 12 record with its 13th team title, turned in their third consecutive under-par round, a 5-under 275. Arizona is second at -10, while TCU is the only other team under par at -1. Texas Tech is fourth at +2, while Kansas matched the second-best round in the history of the event, using a third-round 12-under 268 to go from tied for eighth to fifth at +3. The team winner of the event receives the Big 12’s automatic bid to NCAA Regionals.

Stout birdied three of the last five holes to retake the overall lead, posting his third consecutive round of 3-under to move to -11 for the event. His 54-hole total of 199 is the second-best in Big 12 Championship history, only behind Ludvig Aberg’s 196 at the same venue in 2023.

BYU’s Kihei Akina carried his momentum from his opening-round 63 with a third-round 67 and is two strokes off the overall lead. KU’s William King is third at 7-under after a 5-under 65 at the par 70 / 6,973-yard loop. Utah’s Sergio Jimenez matched the event record, previously set by Akina and two others, signing for 63 to shoot 29 places up the leaderboard to a tie for fourth at -4. The individual winner receives a slot in NCAA Regionals as an individual should their team not advance.

The tournament concludes with the fourth round Wednesday, with tee times beginning at 8 a.m. CT. Live coverage from Prairie Dunes begins at 11:30 a.m. CT with John Liddle and Hope Barnett on the call for ESPN+. Live scoring is available through Clippd.
