UCF’s 1V8+ was named Big 12 Boat of the Week, making UCF the first school since 2019 to capture three consecutive Big 12 weekly awards.
 
The Knights’ first varsity eight captured its fourth and fifth consecutive race wins, besting ranked programs in No. 19 Ohio State and No. 20 North Carolina at the Ohio State Invite. No. 12 UCF won its final with a time of 6:19.2, nearly six seconds ahead of the host Buckeyes. It is the second weekly honor for the 1V8+ this season, coxswained by Audrey Vilendrer, and joined by Sofia Naboni Nevado, Ines Martin, Coralie Detre, 2025 Big 12 Newcomer of the Year Lucy Buckingham, Madison Lovejoy, Brigitte Kappler, Amalie Thorsen and reigning Big 12 Rower of the Year, Hannah Lovejoy.
