BU, BYU and KU Soccer Earn Big 12 Soccer Week 7 Recognition

Baylor’s Noelle Sather (offensive), Kansas’ Livvy Moore (defensive) and Sophie Dawe (goalkeeper), along with BYU’s Anna Neff (freshman) garnered Big 12 Soccer’s Week 7 accolades for their performances during the week.

Sather’s first Big 12 goals helped the Bears win two games against Oklahoma State and Cincinnati. She scored the game-winning goal against the Cowgirls in her first game with the Bears after competing with Team Canada in the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup before burying a goal off a corner kick against the Bearcats. This is the South Florida transfer’s first Big 12 accolade.

Moore and the Jayhawks collected two shutouts to extend the team’s unbeaten streak to six games. She dished out a combined three assists in league contests against Arizona and Arizona State, placing the fifth-year senior atop the national rankings in total assists (9). KU has been undefeated at Rock Chalk Park with a 5-0 record this season. Moore earned her first weekly league award and became the second Jayhawk to capture an award this season.

Dawe’s three saves last week led to her fourth and fifth shutouts of the season, tying her for the most among Big 12 goalkeepers. She held the Sun Devils and Wildcats scoreless to bring her goals-against average in Big 12 play to .33 after only allowing one goal in three games. This is Dawe’s first Big 12 goalkeeper weekly award and her third league accolade after receiving recognition as the Conference’s top freshman of the week twice during the 2024 season.

Neff earned a spot in BYU’s second-half starting lineup in the Conference matches against UCF and TCU for the first time this season. She played 26 minutes on the pitch as the Cougars garnered their second ranked win with a 3-1 victory over then-No. 23 UCF.  Neff then dished out her first collegiate assist in the 2-0 win over TCU, giving BYU its first win over the Horned Frogs since 2010. She collected her first league award and is the second Cougar to earn Big 12 Freshman of the Week this season.

Big 12 teams will face one league opponent this week, with games slated for Thursday and Friday.
