About the Championship
The 2015 Big 12 Cross Country Championship was held on Saturday, Oct. 31, in Stillwater, Okla. at the Oklahoma State Cross Country Course, with Oklahoma State sweeping both the men's and women's championships.
OSU played host to the event for the third time, with the last time coming in 2010.
Vegard Oelstad brought home first-place for Oklahoma State on the men's side and Perez Rotich from Iowa State won the women's crown. Additionally, OSU swept the newcomer of the year awards with Joshua Thompson taking it home for the men and Ingeborg Loevnes for the women.
The OSU men's victory gave them their eighth-consecutive Big 12 title, while the Oklahoma State women took home their first Big 12 crown.
The OSU sweep marks the first cross country sweep by any school since Colorado achieved the feat at the 2007 championship.
