The 2024 Big 12 Gymnastics Championship will be held Saturday, March 23 at the Lloyd Noble Center on the campus of the University of Oklahoma. The meet is slated for a 6:30 p.m. CT start and will be aired nationally on ESPNU.
In its first season with more than four teams, this year’s championship features a five-team rotation. During each rotation, four teams will be on an apparatus while one will be on a “bye”. The first rotation begins with Oklahoma on vault and Denver receiving the bye followed by BYU (bars), West Virginia (beam) and Iowa State (floor).
The two-time defending Big 12 champion Oklahoma enters the meet ranked at No. 1 after holding the nation’s top spot all season. No. 8 Denver, new member No. 33 BYU, No. 36 Iowa State and No. 51 West Virginia round out the Conference in the national rankings.
Saturday’s championship also includes a double dual format which will be utilized at this year’s NCAA Championship. Instead of all four events running simultaneously, only two will happen at one time. Vault will be paired with the balance beam while the uneven bars will alternate with floor routines.
