TCU Men and OSU Women Earn Top Spot in Big 12 Tennis Preseason Coaches’ Poll

The TCU men’s and Oklahoma State women’s teams were tabbed as favorites to win the Conference title for the second consecutive year by the league’s coaches in the 2026 Big 12 Tennis Preseason Poll.

TCU led the men’s preseason poll after finishing the 2025 season as the national runner-up and the Conference regular season champion. The Horned Frogs tallied seven first-place votes and 71 points. After advancing to the Sweet 16 round for the third year in a row, Arizona snagged the final first-place vote and tallied 57 points, while Baylor recorded 48 points after finishing third in league play in 2025. UCF, Arizona State, Oklahoma State, Utah, Texas Tech and BYU rounded out the nine-team men’s poll.

The Cowgirls finished the 2025 season with a share of the regular-season title after going 12-1 during league play and reaching the quarterfinals in the NCAA Women’s Tennis Championship. Oklahoma State was selected as the preseason favorite with 15 first-place votes and 224 points, while UCF finished second in the poll with 199 points. Arizona State rounded out the top three and nabbed the last first-place vote, totaling 187 points, followed by Texas Tech, Baylor, Arizona, TCU, Kansas, Iowa State, Utah, BYU, Houston and Kansas State. Colorado, Cincinnati and West Virginia completed the 16-team poll.
