The 2019 Big 12 Soccer Championship quarterfinals concluded Sunday at Kansas City's Swope Soccer Village. Big 12 regular-season champion Oklahoma State advanced to the semis with a 2-1 win over No. 8-seed Oklahoma, while No. 5-seed Kansas edged No. 4-seed West Virginia, 2-0. In the second half of the day, No. 2-seed Texas Tech collected a 1-0 shutout victory over No. 7-seed Baylor. No. 6-seed TCU advanced past No. 3-seed Texas after a scoreless double overtime draw. The Horned Frogs advanced 3-1 after penalty kicks. The Championship contiunes on Friday, November 8, with the semifinals.

Kirsten Davis’ strike in the first half proved to be the gamewinner, as No. 2-seed Texas Tech edged No. 7-seed Baylor in the Big 12 Championship quarterfinals on Sunday.
Baylor (8-8-3) outshot the Red Raiders (15-2-2), 8-to-4, but were unable to capitalize on three on-goal opportunities.
In the 22nd minute, Davis connected from 10 yards out on a cross from Jayne Lydiatt to give TTU the lead.
Freshman Madison White (7-1-2) earned the clean sheet victory for the Red Raiders after deflecting three shots. Jennifer Wandt of Baylor fell to 7-8-3 on the season.
The Red Raiders are making their fifth semifinal appearance in the last seven seasons. Texas Tech plays TCU in the semifinal on Friday, November 8, at 7:00 p.m.

No. 6-seed TCU advanced to the Big 12 Championship semifinals for the fourth time in program history edging No. 3-seed Texas 3-1 in penalty kicks on Sunday evening.
For a third consecutive year, the fourth quarterfinal match remained tied through regulation. Both teams combined for 45 shots including 13 on goal. TCU fired away 26 shots with nine on goal, while Texas had 19 opportunities and four were on-goal.
TCU’s Messiah Bright recorded 11 shots against No. 3 Texas, the most by an individual in a single Big 12 Soccer Championship match since 2004.
Texas (Emma Regan) and TCU (Yazmeen Ryan) made their first shootout attempts, but then the Horned Frogs connected on their next two opportunities from Grace Collins and Maddy Warren to secure a berth to the semifinals.
The Horned Frogs will face No. 2-seed Texas Tech in a 7 p.m. CT tilt on Friday, November 8.
