Kansas State’s Vitoria Alves was tabbed the Big 12 Indoor Track & Field Women’s Athlete of the Week for the season-opening week.  

The junior broke her personal best in the 60m Hurdles with a time of 8.22 at the Wildcat Invitational, which is the second-fastest time in K-State history for the indoor season. Her mark currently leads the Big 12 and the NCAA.
