The 2024-25 Big 12 Athlete of the Year nominees will be featured in alphabetical order by school starting Monday, July 14, through Wednesday, July 23, at 11 a.m. CT and 2 p.m. CT.
Each institution nominated one male and one female athlete of any classification who competed for their institution during the 2024-25 school year. Student-athletes were required to be in good academic standing and must have participated in a league-sponsored sport.
The 16 full-membership schools that competed during the 2024-25 academic year are eligible.
The winners will be announced Thursday, July 24. Stay tuned to Big12Sports.com and the league’s social media platforms to see the rest of the candidates.

- NCAA Doubles Champion and NCAA Singles and Doubles All-American.
- All-Big 12 First Team in both singles and doubles. Ranked No. 1 in final ITA doubles rankings.
- Helped lead TCU to its ninth Big 12 title and a national runner-up finish.
- CSC Academic All-America First Team Selection. Graduated with a B.S. in Economics in May.

Hailey Van Lith, Basketball

- Big 12 Player and Newcomer of the Year after leading TCU to its first Big 12 regular and postseason titles. Most Outstanding Player of the Philips 66 Big 12 Women’s Basketball Championship.
- AP, WBCA, Wooden Award and USBWA All-America honoree. Garnered unanimous All-Big 12 First Team recognition and was selected in the first round of the 2025 WNBA Draft (No. 11 overall pick).
- Became the first college women’s basketball player to lead three different schools to the Elite Eight. Named the 2024 USA Basketball 3x3 Female Athlete of the Year (Paris Olympic Games participant).
- Maintained a 4.0 GPA; Academic All-Big 12 and CSC Academic All-District selection.
