Arizona, Cincinnati and Oklahoma State Take Home Weekly OTF Honors

Arizona’s Lawi Ngetich (men’s), Cincinnati’s Juliette Laracuente-Huebner (co-women’s) and Oklahoma State’s Billah Jepkirui (co-women’s) were tabbed as the Big 12 outdoor track and field athletes of the week.

Ngetich finished first in the 800 meters with a time of 1:46.50 at Dual in the Desert. The freshman currently sits at fourth in the nation and second in the league with the mark. This is Ngetich’s first Conference accolade.

For the women, Laracuente-Huebner earned the Texas A&M 44 Farms Team Invite heptathlon title by compiling 5920 points. The junior ranks first in the Conference and second in the NCAA after her performance. This is Laracuente-Huebner’s first weekly honor.

Jepkirui claimed the Arkansas Spring Invitational 1,500 meters title with a mark of 4:04.59. The junior clocked the fifth-fastest time in NCAA history and currently leads the Big 12 and is second in the NCAA. Jepkirui was also named the Division I USTFCCCA National Athlete of the Week, becoming the second Big 12 athlete to earn the national accolade this outdoor season.
