TCU Claims First Big 12 Women’s Tennis Tournament Title in Program History

ORLANDO, Fla. – No. 2-seeded TCU took down top-seeded UCF in a score of 4-1 in the 2026 Big 12 Women’s Tennis Tournament to claim its first title in program history Saturday night at the USTA National Campus.

Jennifer Jackson was named the Most Outstanding Player after tallying a 6-0 tournament slate against Baylor, Texas Tech and UCF. The freshman played a crucial role in sending the Horned Frogs into the finals.

UCF jumped ahead, taking the doubles point from courts one and three. Jantje Tillbuerger and Marina Gatell posted a score of 6-4, while Jade Psonka and Vladislava Andreevskaya clinched the point with a 7-6 (7-4) victory.

Jackson tied the match at one all, with a straight set score of 6-3, 6-0. Cayetana Gay (6-4) gave the Horned Frogs their first lead of the day. Cristina Ramos Sierra quickly followed suit, grabbing her point with a 7-5, 6-2 win. Raquel Caballero Chica slammed the door closed, earning a 6-3, 6-4 victory to clinch the first title in program history.

The Horned Frogs and the Knights will wait to see who they play in the opening round of the 2026 NCAA Division I Women’s Tennis Championship until the selection show on Monday, April 27, at 5:30 p.m. ET on NCAA.com.
